More Star Wars?!!!
He should have just left it with the first 3 films.
Sounds like 'The George Lucas Retirement Fund' to me.

I think it is an effort to get more money than Bill Gates. Every morning George wakes up in his multi-million dollar home, looks at his multi-million dollar emipre, and weeps silent tears of frustration.

A long time ago, in a Junior High School far, far away ...

GEEK WARS

Episode 1: Clash of the Nerdy

It is a dark time in the history of the Springdale Middle School AV Club. Georgie Lucas has carefully orchestrated his rise through the ranks, until he now stands poised to take the throne of AV Club President.

But a young upstart, Billy Gates, and his clique of rebel nerds, threatens to thwart his meticulously-laid plans. With the introduction of a devestating new technological nightmare, called "The PowerPoint", they threaten to destroy the supremacy of the synchronized audio cassette and slide presentation that has been the foundational technology of the AV Club for generations, and could tear asunder the fragile peace that Georgie has works tirelessly to establish since early 6th Grade ....

It's an effort to keep running what was once an awesome idea into the ground until every last cent is beaten out of it.

Yes, but its not an original idea. Thats Hollywood baby.

It's George Lucas resting on his laurels yet again. Look at his filmography as a director.

So, he did THX 1138 (overrated, but a good movie), American Graffiti (again, overrated but a good movie), the first Star Wars and the entire prequel trilogy. He did not, in fact, direct either Empire Strikes Back (which is funny since that was the best Star Wars movie of the bunch) or Return of the Jedi.

THAT'S the extent of his directing "abilities" which are somehow considered legendary. So, he's basically a one-hit wonder, that being the first Star Wars film. The new trilogy was mediocre at best and his other films were overrated.

Hmmmmmmm.......I've got a great idea! I'll do yet ANOTHER Star Wars spinoff, but this one will be REALLY original. We'll milk more money out of the franchise yet!

WTF ever. J@ck@ss.

AS long as it is made in the spirit of his greatest work ever, the "Star Wars Holiday Special". Complete with the wookies, and yes Beatrice Arthur. I will wait outside a theater for a year to get my ticket to his masterpieces.
