Who have seen movie Quo Vadis?!
Question: I just wanted to let you know that a restored version of the movie is coming out Spring 2008 in Ultra Resolution. Also, why wouldn't they make a remake? I know there's a Polish version, but it's still not as good as it could have been. Quo Vadis deserves to be shown on a big screen and filmed under a big budget. Look at success of Passion of the Christ!

"Quo Vadis" could be remade, but I'm not sure that it would have enough draw. Perhaps if it had been filmed and released near the truly awful but popular "Gladiator", it would have had a chance. Sadly, they probably would have treated it the same way as that dreadful film. Who ever heard of an emperor fighting in the arena?! Also, the Colosseum was in business a very long time.
I hope they would do a much better job on translating the novel to screen. I'm partial to the original and can't imagine what they might twist a new version into.
