Dear Sister , as far as i remember the cold war between aishwaria and rani started during the times when the film "CHALTE CHALTE" was being made back in 2002-2003. Before rani was signed for the film the producer of the film, none other than shahrukh khan himself, had signed aishwaria for the film and as per some magazines of those days during one of the shoots salman khan entered the sets where aishwaria was shooting for "CHALTE CHALTE" and there he had a heated argument with shahrukh after which shahrukh and the director of the film thought that it would be wise to replace aishwaria with another heroine and when rani was signed the atmosphere changed and if the magazines are to be believed, a cold war errupted between rani and aishwaria. Abhishek Bachchan is definitely not the reason for the cold war.

Yeh, Shahazad is right. This 'cold war' started in 2003 when the movie Chalte Chalte was being made. Aishwarya was replaced by Rani (courtesy of Salman, but personally I think the movie suited Rani more, she looked gorgeous!). Anyway, ever since then, Ash has been cold towards Rani. Ash doesn't like being replaced in movies. She was angered when Priyanka replaced her in Bluffmaster (2005).
