Better late than never - is it time to honour "Carry On" films with th!

Question: Yeah, I reckon. They deserve some kind of collective lifetime comedy achivement award or something. There weren't any other films like them.

No because they're terrible "films".
not with an oscar. a bafta. i grew up watching them. as sexist and un-pc as they are, i love them.
there was one on the tv last night .. had me giggling all the way through
They are absolutely great of their type and are part of the British Culture so definitely some kind of award, yes.
ok matron
I wouldn't go so far as an Oscar but some recognition instead of notoriety would be nice but what about the Confessions films and the Hammer films? If you want to award the Carry On films with an award what about all the others including the previously mentioned and the Ealing films? Good idea in raising the subject though. Looking forward to the feedback on this one!
no way. they were cheap, sexist crap
Definitely, I think 'Abroad' was the best carry on film, but 'Camping' was good as well. They were all brilliant!! Kenneth Williams and Kenneth Conner, great!!
The award they should get is for most boring, stupid, sexist movies ever made. They're just bad and not "so bad they're funny", just bad. If you're a dim-witted 7 year old, they might be funny, but then you probably like "Benny Hill" and "Are you being Served?" too. I tried watching again "Carry on Sergeant" recently, but I wasn't 7 anymore, and had to turn it off after a couple of minutes. Did I mention they're bad?
