HELP! Need information on a war/romance film produced between 1996 to present da!

Question: I vaguely know the facts about this movie, but have been wanting to see it for quite some time. Now that I have a chance, I can't remember the name.

But what I DO remember is that it's a story about a soldier and a nurse during WWII who fall in love (and it isn't The Notebook of which I am sure) and if I'm not mistaken, they are English but I am very unsure.

I have no idea who plays in it, what specific year it was produced, I THINK it's Rated R, and I do not remember the name.

Can someone help me? Thank you in advance!
~Mackenzie

P.S. If anyone knows what movie this is, can you please tell me if it is worth the expense of buying?

The English Patient?

In Love and War (1996)

Reporter Ernest Hemingway is an ambulance driver in Italy during World War I. While bravely risking his life in the line of duty, he is injured and ends up in the hospital, where he falls in love with his nurse, Agnes von Kurowsky.
Based on authour Ernest Hemingway's real life WWI experience. Influence for his novel A Farewell to Arms.

*edit* Yeah, it might also be The English Patient

like the person below stated

Both movies are pretty good, but I would say no to buying In Love and War, but yes to The English Patient. The English Patient was much much better. It won 9 Oscars, including Best Picture in 1997.
In love and war
Um, I'm pretty sure it's The English Patient (1996). The answer is practically in your question :)

I haven't seen it, but it does remind me of that Seinfeld episode where Elaine is forced to see it.
It could be Hanover Street (1979) starring Harrison Ford and Leslie Ann Downe. It is exactly about an American soldier in England who falls in love with an English nurse. It didn't get very good reviews, but I loved it and have it on DVD. Here is the page for it on www.imdb.com:

It's not The English Patient as the "patient" does not fall in love with his nurse. Instead he is telling her his story, and how he loved a politician's wife.

Without further details to go on, it's probably In Love And War, starring Sandra Bullock as the nurse.
