At least it was closer to the novel though they should have done a better job. I can't say much for Tom Cruise as a vampire; it just didn't seem right. They did capture some of the atmosphere of Anne Rice's work.

Bram Stoker's Dracula should NOT have used the author's name! I doubt very much that he would have approved of that travesty of a film supposedly based on his novel. What a nasty, vile, bloody, sick movie it is!

I liked both, they give different perspectives as to what is percieved being vampires. They were kind of similar, but I believe Bram Stoker's was much more macabre.
