Answers: I'm trying to find out the names of these movies. The first one was about these monkeys with red eyes (i think) and they were very mean. I remember a cave and a person getting attacked. I know it's not planet of the apes because I've seen all of them including the remake.
Next one I can't remember much. All I remember is this girl finds a dead body in her pond next to her house. And at the end the repair guy or I don't know some guy who was at the house alot turns out to be the killer, he makes sure the girl and her father can't get out of the house by bording the windows up.

The first one is Congo
The second one is Christinas House, it was a really b-rated movie that i found one time a like a dollar bin at walmart. If it is Christinas House then it really seems like the dad is creepy and perverted. And in the opening scene a girl scout selling cookie is killed. lol funny tacky movie.

The second one sounds a bit like "The People Across the Lake" (1988 TV movie), but I'm sure there are others with this theme. A family moves to a lakeside house, find a body, then have a lot of crazy things happen. I seem to recall that the local handyman is the one responsible.

I would have to take their word for it that the film is "Congo" (1995). I don't really remember the red eyes, just strange-looking sort of gorillas.

Weirdly, I just saw "The Time Machine" (1960), in which the cavedwelling Morlocks have glowing red eyes, so my mind fixed on that. They do look sort of apelike. But, it's an old movie and likely isn't what you saw.
