I Don't know what this movie was!!!?!
Question: well i can't tell u much about this but its been bothering me forever! I need the name of this move; let me describe it. I remember a ring that fell into a river (NO Not LOTR!!) a teen to early adult dressed in old, what i can describe as, elvish......-ish clothing, but then it came to an under water shot looking above at him. As he jump in to grab the ring the river instantly froze and it was if he had drowned. from ther i remember a old coo-coo clock in a self made old house in what i can only describe as a fairy tale forest, it showed time passing very fast and then the seasons outside changing very quickly. from there just mostly him getting pulled out by a woman i belive who also looked...elvish. thats all i remember but if any bodycan PLEASE HELP ME!!!! -thanks

Princess Lily (Mia Sara) sets a task for Jack (Tom Cruise) by throwing a ring into a river, making him fetch it for her. The story is set "once, long ago" in a world of unicorns, princesses, fairies, and demons. Cruise plays Jack O' The Green, a woodland dweller who takes Princess Lily (Sara) to see the last of the living unicorns. But temptation and fate cause the world to freeze over when the male unicorn is seriously wounded and its horn broken off and stolen, and the female unicorn and Lily are kidnapped by evil goblins. Ultimately, it is Jack (with the help of a group of fairies and Elves) who must save Lily from the demonic, Satan-like Lord of Darkness (Curry), who wants to take Lily as his bride.
Jack and the fairies overcome all obstacles to reach the Tree Of Darkness (where Lily and the unicorn are being held) and by using their shields as mirrors to bring the sunlight from the surface into the cave-like lair of the the demonic Lord, are able to conquer him using sunlight as a weapon and restore and heal the male unicorn's broken horn before the world enters a never-ending Age Of Darkness.
I believe the movie that you are talking about is Legend with Tom Cruise where A demon who seeks to create eternal night by destroying the last of the unicorns and marrying a fairy princess is opposed by the forest boy Jack and his elven allies in this magical fantasy.
Romantic Moment: Princess Lili takes a ring off her finger and asks Jack, “Don’t you wish this was our wedding ring?” Jack replies, “If I say yes, will my wish come true?” Lili tosses the ring and playfully says, “I will marry whoever finds this ring.” The ring bounces and falls over a cliff into the water below. Jack immediately jumps up and dives over the cliff and into the water in an attempt to retrieve the ring.
