On the movie "Farewell My Concubine.." Was it any good?!
Question: I thought it was terrific. Such an emotional, powerful story. Very enjoyable film. Beautifully directed and photographed. It runs a little long (nearly 3 hours) as it tells two parralel stories that depict the effects of various Chinese political turmoils during the 20th century.
The film won several awards:
Cannes Film Festival's Palme d'Or
BAFTA Best Foreign Film
Golden Globe Awards Best Foreign Language
nominated for Best Foreign Language Academy Award
I would definetley say its worth watching.
