A great PG horror film is Poltergeist.

Also, films like The Return, Stay Alive, and quite a few others were all released pg-13.

faces of death they're a series hard to come by but may be in ur area. blockbuster used to carry them in the day but not sure if they still do. These are gruesome scenes from actual events some in black /white. decapitations and such...

Go with the classic horror films if you are looking for tame. I suggest fun films like House On Haunted Hill(VINCENT PRICE...not a remake), Last Man on Earth, The Masque Of The Red Death, Night Of the Living Dead, and House of Wax(original with Vincent Price not Paris Hilton). Stay Sick Turn Blue!
