Does anyone else think "Psycho" is the best horror movie ever?!

Question:

Does anyone else think "Psycho" is the best horror movie ever?

Answers: The best, I wouldn't say, but it's a great suspense movie!! probably but I think The Birds ( for that time ) was scarier, I mean anyone can make you fear man, but to make people fear what is almost always so innocent... shiver... Totally! Not the crappy one with Vince Vaughn (my husband) but the original. =D Psycho was an incredible movie. I loved it. But I cant say it is the best horror movie ever. My favorite will always be misery Definatly not a favorite of the horror genre because there really isn't much gore but I do own it . To me it falls in with great classic creepyness somewhere in there with The Omen and Rosemary's baby. want some good horror c if you can pick up the "Faces of Death" series they're from actual gruesome events that have taken place in history. good halloween stuff. they're hard to find Block Buster Chain used to carry them I don't think Hollywood Video does either worth checking out so, if you can find that then there's some REAL HORROR!

but psycho was good along with saw or hostel. no but its in my top five horor movies and they are:
5. Friday the 13th series
4. Psycho
3. Freddy series
2. silence of the lambs
and my top favourite horor movie is the saw series It ranks right up there but it isn't my own fave. Actually I don't have just one favorite - there are many that I like and sometimes for different reasons.

It is certainly safe to call it one of the very best and it's definitely iconic. I agree that Psycho is a great movie, however, I believe that Poltergeist is the best horror movie. It is underappreciated because of the rating and it's time of release. Top five definitely, but I am such a fan of horror films and know of so many good ones that I cannot say for sure.

I would have preferred 'The Birds' if AH hadn't deleted the scene that explained why the birds were doing it. Way back in the 1960s, Alfred Hitchcock directed the controversial horror flick starring the late Janet Leigh. Although starring the movie, Janet Leigh's character gets killed in the shower by the infamous Norman Bates. I think this movie scared the daylights out of me.
