what happens after the fight when marias brother dies? what happens after that?

- Chino (Maria's fiance) tells her what happened, and she cries and prays that he's wrong.
- Ice takes command of the Jets and they decide to defend Tony against any vengeful Sharks.
- Tony goes to see Maria and they agree to run away together. Anita discovers them and is upset, but Maria explains that they're in love. The police arrive and question Maria about the deaths.
- Anita goes to Doc's to give Tony a message from Maria, but the Jets taunt her and almost end up raping her. Wanting revenge, she asks Doc to tell Tony that Chino killed Maria for being unfaithful.
- Tony comes back to Doc's and is happy since he's about to run away with Maria, but Doc tells him she's dead. He goes out and yells for Chino to come and kill him too. He runs into Maria, but then Chino finds them and shoots him. He dies in her arms.
- Maria takes Chino's gun and threatens to shoot everyone there, "because now *I* have hate", but doesn't. Both gangs help carry Tony's corpse.

Chakiris goes to see Maria west side story must be 40 years old ! i saw it a long time ago but i think that rita goes to tony and tells him that chino killed maria.. she only said it because she was mad... then some how chino and tony end up in the same place and chino shoots tony..end of the movie.
