Do you like the torture/porn or classic horror better?
Do you prefer movies like Saw and Hostel or the classics like the Exorcist, the Omen, and more modern like the Others and The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
I much more prefer the classic ghost stories or good vs evil.
Answers: I prefer classic horror. Torture porn is ruining the entire genre and dumbing down a new generation of movie fans. The things movies make you imagine are much more terrifying then anything they can show you. i like the torture stuff and the real life things The Omen, but not the exorcist, Saw, but not the Others(or the others) I like thrillers...like Se7en, Copycat, Silence of the Lambs, Grudge, stuff that makes you think...The Shining is the all time scariest... classics are better. the best new horror film of late though is House of 1000 Corpses. That movie is freikin great! Omen, Exorcist, Dracula, etc. Older stuff. A bit more thought seems to have gone into it. Classic horror for me every time - but there again, I am only a year or so off me pension! Got to watch me blood pressure and sudden shocks! I love the classic stuff. . . how can you not its classic! Definitely the classics and good old fashioned scary movies.
I always have to turn my head for the gory stuff. Classics all the way, theres nothin better than good old horrors.
