Harry Potter Canon: Daniel, Rupert or Emma - who plays their character best?
Question open only to fans of books who have seen the movies.
Who do you think has remained most faithful to their book characters?
- I feel Rupert is best as Ron - he has completely slipped in Ron's skin and does a great job portraying the thickheaded, but enthusiastic and loyal Ron.
- Daniel also, I feel works very hard to be Harry, and does it commendably well.
- In my opinion, Emma was a great Hermione till movies 1,2 and even 3 to some extent. After that she has become very "pretty and cute", especially following the Yule Ball. I wish she would make an effort to be her character Hermione.

Hermione is supposed to act really nerdy but she stopped acting like it in the 5th movie. she did the best in the 1 and second movie
Daniel does pretty good. He plays the part of harry very well there all good Probably Rupert Grint.
Emma Watson has become too melodramatic as of late and Daniel Radcliffe is just horrible. Good points, before I read your opinions I too thought of Ron (Rupert) as he seems to capture what JK Rowling has portrayed him to be in the books. Rupert seems like a dumbass like in the books, Daniel is a good Harry Potter, but Emma is way too hot to be Hermione. Ru - he's great and provides good comedy. He seems to have become very comfortable playing Ron. I feel like Daniel and Emma are still a bit wooden, especially Emma. Rupert.
Daniel is good, but not as good as in the first movie. Yeah...I agree that Emma has kinda taken the "pretty and cute" route, not that I complain, but in the books she does tone down herself a bit as they go on. And I do think the directors have some effect on that too! Yeah, I'm going to have to go with Rupert, too. I don't know, with Daniel and Emma, I'm just not feeling it. Daniel is the best. You feel his character and I root for him. Yeah Rupert plays the perfect Ron, Daniel did quite a good job as Harry but there's just something about him that isn't quite right in my eyes-don't get me wrong, he's a good actor, but I don't think he's "my" Harry. And as for Emma, I think she was great up until 2/3 but then got too "pretty" and just didn't fit the part anymore. BUT I can't imagine anyone else playing Hermione so I'll just have to live with her!! well,i personally feel tht Emma is the best as Hermione.n i dun agree hermione is only 'pretty and cute'. she is also brilliant,smart,confident,cari... etc..
of all 3,emma is the best,she captures hermione's loyalty,intelligent behaviour,insecurities,bossy attitude,n mothers harry as the book hermione does...it's not easyy 4 a girl who is far off fr being harry's mum.
2nd is harry played by dan.he's gotten quite good in gof and ootp.b4 tht he's was just ok...but he does try a lot..
on d whole,dan,emma's acting is on par till gof,ootp,when they both do their truly best...u could c it..
