What do you think the movie "Vanilla Sky" (Tom Cruise) was about, or meant?
In your own words please? Some people I asked didn't understand the movie.
Answers: I personally think it meant you can't run away from your problems or the people you have hurt along the way.
In the movie, Tom Cruise had tried to purchase a new life minus his former problems, such as a crazy ex-girlfriend, the possibility that he murdered his lover, and a disfigured face from a horrendous car crash. But his new life was riddled with nightmares based on his memories of the bad things he had done, and he discovered his purchased new life in heaven was actually a form of hell, as he found he could not go back and undo the horrible things he had done.
I believe it is meant to be a warning to people of today to stop being so stupid, to repent of your sins while you have the chance, before you wake up in hell and can't go back to apologize or change things.
Just a thought. I think it was awesome. It is a love story. It is a little confusing but it all makes sense. Watch it over again. Watch the Original version with Penelope Cruz. This is a remake.
