She has dignity and is a breath of fresh air among the media chasing feeding frenzy of 'celebs'. I am woman and I think she gorgeous, the type that other women envy, just like in the movie "Malena", if you remember.
I think that man find her attractive, it's just that she doesn't spread gossips and rumors about herself (or adopt children from 3rd world) like others. She just acts. No she's gorgeous!!!
Thing is most men (or at least from what the media portrays) seem to prefer the Jessica Simpson/Paris Hilton type. Not my cup of tea really. She's gorgeous but I think she does not get the same media exposure that most actresses get, she is an actress not a celebrity. Everything in today's world is about media, publicity rather than anything else The only reson Monica doesn't get the attention she deserves is she doesn't take movie roles that have generated a lot of buzz other than Passion of the Christ (and in that she was pretty much in a sackcloth) and she doesn't do stupid thinks, no DUIs, no sex tape gone public, ect. i dont know who she is Hell, if I were a lesbian...I'd be drooling over here myself! ha ha!
She is just not a Hollywood type of celebrity...therefore gets barely any mention in the media so people just forget her. My temperature would rise to a degree at the mention of her name. :). How I envy Vincent Cassel....one of the luckiest guy in this whole wide mudball Monica? Shes absolutely superb.
