Has anyone seen the movie Alice, Sweet Alice? Was that true to its time?!

Question:

Has anyone seen the movie Alice, Sweet Alice? Was that true to its time?

It was actually made in 1976, BUT it was supposed to be a 1960s setting (1961 to be exact) and I was wondering... the hairstyles? clothing? furniture? in the film. Was it true to the time that it was supposed to take place?

And btw, to anyone who feels the need to be rude, dont. Im not some kid doing a report. I happen to be interested in this time period and for some reason, overly obsessed with this film lately.

Answers: I have seen this movie and like you I also become obssessed with movies and want to dig deeper into them and find out more about them. There's a cool website called "Terrortrap.com that showcase movies from 1925 to 1987! They have all kinds of cool stuff on there about horror movies and Alice,Sweet,Alice is on there. I have seen it, and its pretty cool. i think it was actually, that furniture and wallpaper definitly wasnt from the 70s lol.

linda miller is jackie gleasons daughter, just incase you didnt know that. I don't seem to recall this film seeming very authentic. Why don't you watch films from the right time period? So many period films are way off, especially when it comes to budgeting for the right clothing. No, I wouldn't rely on this very low-budget film to be accurate about the Sixties.

There are plenty of Sixties films that reflect the clothes, customs, behavior, etc., that you would see. I'd be happy to suggest films that would be accurate.

Don't trust period films since they play fast and loose, using whatever is handy. I've seen mistakes even in big budget films. "Titanic" has some horrible errors, for example.
