I don't know why but its a good movie WOW great question. He's the duke. So many good movies. True Grit was a great one, but so many of his were. He was and still is My America. The Searchers I would have to say my favorite John Wayne movie would have to be "The Conqueror". You can't beat seeing the Duke as Genghis Khan. Red River, 1948. Great quote "We brought nothing into this world and its certain we can carry nothing out.".
