thanks that did help qpi Well according to the book, It is uncertain, but Dumbledore said that it didn't have anything to do with the wands sharing a twin core so much as Harry and Voldemort sharing blood which he took from Harry to come back. Page 710 and 711 said that the wands actually echoed the relationship of its masters. That Harry's wand " imbibed some of the power and qualities of Voldemort's wand which is Voldemort himself." So, Harry's wand recognized him as both kin and mortal enemy even though he was using Malfoy's wand.

It's all very psychological but there you have it. Check out the page #'s I hope it helped. what page is this on?... bcuz harry's wand had a special bond with Voldemort's because they both had a tailfeather from the same phoenix. which page? I haven't gotten to the part where they explain that yet. That is if they ever do. Hermione keeps insisting that it was something Harry did, but Harry thinks not. I believe Dumbledore explains it in the next to the last chapter called 'Kings Cross'.
