I agree it sound weird when you say it like that depends on what movie I thinks its more of a figure of speech... I dont know It really deepens on the movie i guess!!! Ummm only if the movie was about retarded people (although you should use nicer words so as not to offend) or a gay love story. 'Gay' and 'retarded' are used by immature people to associate things with 'bad' or substandard. To use triats of people, especially traits which cannot be changed, to describe things as undesirable is very rude and ignorant.

why not just say it was stupid or dumb. It's right because when people say retarded they don't mean to make fun of mentally challenged people becaused me myself I say retarded when referring to something stupid but use the term mentally challenged with slow people. Also as far as calling the movie gay it's not wrong because the word gay can mean stupid now. A long time ago gay once meant happy then it slowly started to mean homosexual. Now gay is slowly changing from exclusively meaning homosexual to exclusively meaning stupid. I predict within 10 years retarded will only mean stupid and gay will only mean stupid. I am not politically correct at all so I say they're retarded, gay, stupid, etc.
