The People that sit behind projectors to run movies in movie theaters are called!

Question:

The People that sit behind projectors to run movies in movie theaters are called what?

I know these days all movie reels are shipped to theaters in parts to prevent piracy, so at the theater a specialist put together all the parts into 1 reel before showing. i assume this is the same person that sits behind the projector when showing a movie? Do these people need special training from the MPAA or something? or can they be hired and train at each theater?

Answers:

A projectionist...and no, they don't need special training. You just have to work your way up at your local movie theatre. You know, conccesstionist, usher, box office cashier, supervisor, manager, projectionist. Art least, that's the way it was when I worked at AMC. (Usually no one sits behind the projector..they are too busy changing the reels on the other ones.)
