Please help me find name of oriental movie.?

This movie is about 10 years old I think. It is a US release, I probably saw it with subtitles, rented at a local video store. It is oriental. It tells the story of a poor oriental girl who works with other girls on an oriental plantation, harvesting something, perhaps lotus blossoms, or possibly rice. She has an opportunity to work in the master's home. He comes to like her very much, and I believe becomes his #1 girl. Can you please help me find the title of this. Ive searched IMDB but couldnt find it. Thanks.
