Escape from new York - Or - Escape from LA? Which one is the better film?
Escape from NY has just started so I thought I'd ask what yall thought!

Answers:
Escape from New York, by far. It has the benefit of being the first one, so it gets credit for originality. I also thought it had a more compelling "back story" than Escape from L.A. The story angle of having a hyper-politically-correct society with the hero(es) operating outside the mainstream had already been done (and done well) in Demolition Man, so in Escape from L.A. it came off as lame.
