What is the name of this movie....?
I watched a movie on Disney channel late at night a few years ago. It started with this girl, in Africa, I think. She is at her house when the bad guys show up. She joins forces with her native friend as they journey through the desert to escape. I remember a scene with a helicopter and sand dunes... It ends where they pass out in the sand, however, the group was just one more hill from civilization? It was made in possibly the 80's… It was several years ago when I watched it, and I would like to figure out the name. Thanks for your help.

That is one of Reese Witherspoon's earliest movies and it came out in 1993.
