Need movie title........?

It is about Australian/British soldiers in WW2 and it is about them using canoes to mine the Japanese ships anchored in Singapore. subsequently they are captured and some executed but the story is one of friendship and the human spirit...anyone have a clue what this movies is called as I have reacked my brain for the last few days and have come up blank!

I should've dug a little deeper...
Actually it was during the second attempted raid on Singapore when the men were captured. "Heroes II: The Return" tells the story you're describing.
