Who was the chosen one?
its hard to say i can easily argue both sides
anikin: killed the emporor, and brought balence to the force by making 2 jedi and two sith.
luke: without luke anikin would have not existed in episode 6 becasue without luke vader would never have turned back to the light. also (froma certain point of veiw) luke didnt bring balence to the force because he made there only one jedi, and anikin may not have either becasue luke became a jedi. so it was 3 to 2.
any other opinions?

It was Luke... When Anikin came along there was already balance... the universe was relatively at peace... not perfectly peaceful otherwise there would be no Jedi at all, but relatively peaceful and balanced. Anikin disturbed the balance since all the Jedi except Yoda and Ben were killed and the dark side was able to take over... Luke was the chosen one because he brought order and peace back to the world... He balanced good/bad... Now I believe the this "balance" is always moving like a scale... sometimes one side is heavier than the other but it is always hovering back and forth over the centre... I think this is the balance they are talking about... when Anikin destroyed the balance, the scale tipped too far on one side and could not come back... Until the chosen one, LUKE, brought balance back.... I don't think it has anything to do with how many Siths cuz we don't know exactly how many Jedi there were on the council, and on missions, and all the Padawans... compared to all the siths, and siths in training, etc.
