Defend this-Why isn't Harry Potter a so called "nerd" movie like Star Trek, Star Wars, etc.?
The classic moment that Potter may be considered a "nerd" movie is when Jimmy Kimmel's show was doing a remote from a Potter showing and a boy was dressed as him (Potter). Kimmel went on to say to the kid "I think it's time your start taking up football" implying he just lost all his street cred amongst his friends.
