How come people ask what others thought about a movie when they can go to user r!

How come people ask what others thought about a movie when they can go to user reviews here on yahoo movies?

It doesnt upset me, I was going to ask the same about movies but realize there are thousands of opinions here on yahoo movies, all I have to do is go to the page and it will even give you an average from critics and users, seems like asking here will only get you a few opinions, plus often the same question is posted, for example what did you think about so and so movie. Like I said I am not upset just wondering if people know how useful yahoo can actually be.

Just to let you know it is not just critics it is mostly from users like you and me that post an opinon about the simple question of how was the movie? Technical questions I can understand.

I would suspect that the people that ask that know that the critics may not like what that are asking about or know that critics don't like what they like. So they ask here knowing that most of the people answering are just plain people with similar likes and dislikes. And also it's a way to share enjoyment or disappointment. When you know you and everyone else have been waiting for a movie to open and it turns out to be great, you can ask and get opinions like yours and so you share the excitement. It boils down to community and long winded idiots like me.
