I was in the US Military during the Vietnam War.
Far too many friends came back in body bags that didn't need to.
Why did they send vehicles to vietnam with 1/4 inch steel plating on the floor instead of the 1 inch steel plating that they were supposed to have?
We'd get a vehicle blown up, it would be sent back to the manufacturer in Detroit, and we'd get the same vehicle, cleaned up, with new 1/4 inch plating back. And it only cost the Govenment several hundred thousand dollars each time.
Sad times.
Makes you wonder if the same thing is happening in Iraq now, all for money.
