the movie had a car where you never saw the person driving and it would kidnap a kid. im crappy on the details but it was a pontiac i think

That would be "Wheels of Terror", a TV movie from the '90's. The driver would snatch young girls into his car and rape/molest them. The single mother of his latest victim finally helped track him down, I believe. Hope that helps.
