For their Money!! apparently the kids real parents had money. left for the girl i think its a trust fund. and she just starts finding out what her guardians are really like. So when she finds out all the truth she ends up running away with her bro and then run the guy over.!! the movie is pretty good.
Her Guardians i think also killed her real parents. The car they were driving wasnt theirs. Something like that cuz i remeber there was a scene where she gets home from school or something and she see's her real parents car and thats when she starts figuring out everything.. Oh yea and that evil man (her Guardian) Is In some messed up trouble about owing money to some guy. and takes out money from the kids trust fund. I Think their parents left them 4 million dollars and yea lane was killed by an overdose!!!
