Are kids still into actions figures based off movie characters anymore?!

Are kids still into actions figures based off movie characters anymore?

I noticed after seeing Transformers that the shelves at Wal-Mart still had an abundance of Transformers. I would have thought after a great movie like that kids would have cleared the shelves.Heck I almost wanted to by an Optimus Prime and I am 27, then again it was about 40 bucks even back then they were expensive and it was only a day after the movie came out. But it has been more than a week has anyone noticed if they are flying off the shelves or not. Have kids lost interest in action figures? I know I used to love them.

my kid has not lost interest. that's what he spends his allowance on!

i think because the toys have been out for so long now that those that wanted them already have them and those that want them because of the movie are a small percentage.
