The movies just cannot duplicate the total experience of the books. However, they DO compliment them and this one is better than the last. The rich visuals, the scenes, the music add to our imagination and memories of each book. This one was not as dark as the book -- but that was a hard one to get through (for me, anyway). I think they are doing an excellent job in capturing the feel of the story and putting it on the screen. The books are ALWAYS better and the movies get better every time.
