In the movie 300, do you think King Xerxes is suppose to be portraying the King Xerxes from the Bible?
In the book of Esther of the Holy Bible, there is a Persian King Xerxes. Do you think these two are the same?
Is the time of the Spartan battle of Thermopylae about the same time as the rule of the Biblical King Xerxes?

Historically, the Persian king in the book of Esther is Artaxerxes the First who is the son of Xerxes the First. I believe Frank Millers pseudo historical character was based on the father.
