In the movie Breakfast At Tiffany's .........?!

Question:

In the movie Breakfast At Tiffany's .........?

what exactly does "%50 for the powder room" mean? Ah, it's driving me crazy..does it mean she was like a hooker or what I didn't get those parts where they mentioned that!.

What did you think of the movie?
Personally I thought it would be more romantic, I didn't expect her to turn out to be a cold hearted, shut down, gold digger haha! but it was fun to watch, and Audrey Hepburn is soooooo pretty and soo skinny I wish I was that thin! the movie made me cry when Freddy died :(
the end was nice though, I'm glad she found the name-less cat.

So I finally watched Breakfast At Tiffany's the movie people have been talking about for years! =:]

*EDIT: "$50 for the powder room"

Answers:

"$50 for the powder room" is a euphemism. Holly Golightly is a call girl. The money is payment for her companionship for the evening. The movie glosses over that aspect of Holly's character because audiences of the time didn't want to see such things implied about a character played by Audrey Hepburn. But if you read the story by Truman Capote (which differs significantly from the film, especially in the ending), you'll understand the true nature of the Holly Golightly character, and the powder room money will make more sense.
