Why is Titanic the #1 All Time Box Office (USA) film.?
It made over $600 million. Sure it has a love story and some ladies might like to watch Leo. But there are many historical events much larger than this. Although this may be one of the most horrific sea tragedies of all time, if not the most horrific, many more people die at war. Sure it is worth watching, but I just don't understand why this topped the box office out all the US films ever made. What is your thoughts?

Because it's target audience was enormous. It basically addressed itself to everyone. It had effects, romance, drama and historical significance
