In the movie Moulin Rouge , is that Nicole Kidmans & Ewan McGregors real voices ?

when they are singing , are those their real voices ? Or is it like Minnie Drivers in The Phantom Of The Opera and someone elses ? i was just wondering thank you :]

now that i know its there real voices. they cant sing that good can they? it was just layerd and really worked in the editing room and stuff , right ?

I saw a special on it and they had to have intense training for like 6 weeks and they had to sing it right in front of the camera. What I mean is, they couldn't record it in a studio and then have it put in over them mouthing it, they had to actually sing in front of everyone. I remember Nicole saying that it was very nerve racking.
