Why did John Williams quit doing the soundtracks for Harry Potter movies?!
Question:
Why did John Williams quit doing the soundtracks for Harry Potter movies?
Answers:
John Williams workload has lessened considerably of late. He seems to prefer scoring films by Steven Spielberg or smaller, Oscar-contending films these days. Plus, he might be a bit pricey. Another composer can adapt and incorporate his themes into a new score for a fraction of the cost. Besides "Harry Potter sequels, Williams also did not do the music for 2006's "Superman Returns" (although his original music was heavily incorporated into the new score by John Ottman).
