The Day After Tomorrow (the movie)?
I've watched this movie like 5 times now but I never really questioned about what happened to the professor (that old man with the other two men)? Did he die during the storm or did he live?
Answers:
If you remember, as the professor finished talking with the other two men and thanking them for their service, the generator goes out and they are all left in the dark. I would assume since the generator was keeping them warm, once it's gas was used up, then the three men would have been exposed to the elements within hours and succumb to those harsh elements.
And the older professor, Ian Holm, also states, when he was on the satellite phone with Dennis Quaid, he states, "It is already too late for us."
Great visual effects but lousy science.
