What did you think of Harry Potter 5 The Order of The Phoenix?

I went and saw it today, and I while I think it was a good movie, I was sorley disappointed with the changes to the story line that they made, and all the details they left out.. I understand they cannot possible fit all the info from the book into a movie, but they could have made the movie a bit longer. Instead of changing J.K. Rowlings story line and adding things that didnt happen in the book, they should have kept it real. Like when Dolores Umbridge finds them in the D.A. lessons, that never even happened in the book. Or when the The twins decided to leave school and set of the fireworks, it was to create a distractionss so Harry could use her fire to see if Sirius was ok. And when the kids go to the ministry they changed the entire story line. All in all I think for a movie it was good so long as you didnt read the book first. It was better than the last 2 movies though they were filmed very dark..

You are all so right, and Harry had to be showed the address on paper so the house would appear to him, in the movie they completely changed that scene also. I agree about the battle in the Department of Mysteries, the daeth eaters didnt fly around all myst like.. That was dumb! It was almost like a completely different story but with similarities to the book. The screaming Portrait should have been included!!Also they should have showed how moody Harry was throughout this book, because if I remember correctly he was a moody depressed kid..(he does have his reasons lol) I cannot wait until the next book, even though someone emailed me supposedely stolen info from the book. I hope its all lies, so I will be suprised!

it seems like they were really trying hard to make the movie short. they rushed into everything. aside from the things you mentioned, i also hated that they changed some of the story line. everybody in the DA didn't get detention! and Kreacher didn't turned out to be bad! it's his fault Siruis died! and where's Marietta? why did Cho have to be the one who told on about the DA?! i was also expecting to see (and hear) Mrs. Black's screaming portrait. the movie also didn't explained why Tonks can change her appearance. I also really liked to see the different rooms Harry and his gang had to go through to get to the prophecy room. oh! i almost forgot! they didn't even show Firenze! they should have had a new Divination teacher since they sacked Trelawny!
