Harry Potter and the order of the Pheonix, what'd you think of it??!

Question:

Harry Potter and the order of the Pheonix, what'd you think of it??

I was horribly dissapointed. Some of you are probably going to say that they needed to take some stuff out because the book was long but the movie had scenes in it not needed to be there. I believe they needed more:
Neville vs. Bellatrix
A longer Ministry of Magic scene
Sirius giving Harry the two-way mirrors
Firenze replacing Trelawney
And much much more.
Please give me your honest opinions.

Answers:

i went to the movies with a heart filled with hope and a head filled with images from just reading the book...i think that majority of people had their hopes on very high ,including me and so i tried to go in with a more practical thinking.basically because i have enjoyed the book tremendously and wants the best for the movie too...the book WAS long and to even think of doing a movie from it would be a major cut-out session!AND IT WAS...

but i am not as dissapointed as you.like you ,i also feel that some scenes should be added.i like luna lovegood in the book...i totally love her in the movie!cho chang was only there for the kissing scene...a cheesy commercial antics to sell the movie more...i would like ginny weasley and neville to be more <out there> ,maybe they will be in the next film...i do agree with you that they should be more scenes especially at the ministry of magic...but the ones that they have is still spectacular...

i have to admit though that as the movie ended ,i have no idea as how i should feel.i enjoyed the movie greatly and the excitement of watching the battle at the end is as good or even at par with any STAR WARS movie...and it is still a good movie
BUT maybe it is because i am like the rest of many harry potter fans around the world ,young or old...our expectations were just too big to fit into a 2hour movie...
i feel that we will have the same conversation when the half-blood movie comes out too...= )
look on the bright side of things ,their NEXT challenge would be to put the last two books on film.aren't you excited?
thank you for asking this question
