If you haven't read the book, then it's a must see. Great effects, good story.

If you've read the books and are a fan, then you'll be disappointed. Everyone I know who's a fan of the books was SERIOUSLY upset after seeing this movie.

Yes, they have to cut a lot out of the books to fit it into a movie. I get it. The other movies though, kept the integrity of the books intact, while this movie cut out WAY too much and really changed what the book was about.
