Movie scene "Now look you sir" shakespeare?!
Question:
Movie scene "Now look you sir" shakespeare?
This has been driving me crazy...
There was a movie scene (paraphrased below) where there was a class studying shakespeare.
A male student was awkwardly reading aloud, and the scene goes something like this:
Student:(Reading from Shakespeare book) Now look...you sir...
Teacher:No, no, it's "Now LOOK you sir", it's like he's saying "Hey LOOK man", get it?
Does this scene ring a bell with anyone?
Answers:
I'm almost 100% positive you're talking about the movie "Renaissance Man" starring Danny DeVito. He plays an unemployed man who gets a job teaching Army Recruits (these recruits are supposedly the dumbest recruits around. Everyone calls them Double D's which stands for "Dumb as Dog S**t"). He bases the entire course on Shakespeare and manages to relate it to modern time enough that the Army guys actually learn to love Shakespeare.
I've seen this movie a lot and as soon as I read the question, this movie came to mind.
