Yessiree (gleefully rubbing hands). Was waiting for someone to make such a request (big foreign film fan), but can't suggest dramas. :D.
For the films, In no particular order:
- SWIRI/SHIRI (brilliant thriller)
- MEMORIES OF MURDER (highly lauded police procedural of actual killings that had rocked S. Korea)
- TELL ME SOMETHING (tense thriller)
- A TALE OF TWO SISTERS (a very effective horror)
- THE HOST (a sci-fi monster blockbuster)
- VOLCANO HIGH (totally whacked out, SFX laden action-comedy)
- TAEGUKGI (powerful war drama)
- JSA: Joint Security Area (excellent war drama)
- ATTACK THE GAS STATION (Delirious comedy)

Also check out Park Chan Wook's brilliant trilogy: SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE, OLDBOY & SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE.
If you are in the mood for some offbeat films, check out the works of KIM KI-DUK (BAD GUY, SAMARITAN GIRL, 3-IRON etc.) .
