Okay, so I watched this film tonight and I just don't understand it. I even tried watching the ending again but with the commentary playing. Can anyone out there explain to me what the hell was going on?

Thora Birch is one of my favorites. I haven't seen this movie yet but checked imdb and the reviewer there said he didn't understand it fully either. Sometimes stories are left a little incomplete to make you think. It's a way to get people to discover things for themselves.
