HAIRSPRAY??/ A new version??

i saw it in the 80's with Ricky Lake and Divine(drag queen) What is this new version? it also looks like some of the faces have been changed by computer// it looks odd to me?? any help here??

i have to say i perfere the 80s version it was really raw and lively, and almost had cult status i think this new one has been sanitised!

In my opinion it's garbage and unnecessary, but it's not really a remake of "Hairspray" the movie. It's a remake of the musical based on the movie. Confusing enough? Hollywood is basically fresh out of ideas.
