In the Korean movie called "Soo" ("수"), the title is referring to water, the very essence of life (this is relevant to the plot of the movie). The basic storyline: Tae-Su, or Soo as he is referred to in the movie (played by Ji Jin Hee), reunites with his twin brother after 19 years only to see him being shot and killed before his eyes. The movie is basically about Soo seeking revenge on his brother's killer. Throughout the film Soo, the main character, seeks to free his brother, Tae Jin from "Han" as well as his own soul from guilt.The lasting imagery of water washing away blood suggests the pervasive human instinct to survive and the desire to purge oneself of one’s impurities.
