The pursuit of Happiness was a good movie. And the guy lived happily ever after, but what happend to his wife in the movie? I mean he became a rich stock brocker, but he and his wife didn't file a divorce, so did they gat back together?

The woman who is based on the character in the film was actually his ex-girlfriend, Jackie Medina, whom he had left his wife, Sherry Dyson, for in real life. He actually had both children (a son and daughter) with Jackie. He never did marry Jackie, and just like in the film, she did run off with their son for a little while. He remained married to Sherry from 1977-1990, even though they had separated in 1980, primarily because of his infidelity and his refusal to study medicine and become a doctor. He is no longer with Sherry Dyson.
