Did Frank Pentangeli try to kill Michael in Godfather Part II?
Im a little confused about Frank Pentangeli and his role in trying to kill Michael in Godfather II.
I know Tom and Frank in the end suggested that Frank take his own life like the Roman times, and that Frank was supposed to testify against Michael...but was Frank responsible or partly responbile for having him killed in the assination attempt, and who was he working with?
Answers:
No... but he was under impression that Michael had ordered the botched hit on him.
Tom offered Frank the honorable way out as opposed to officially ratting out Michael and the family.
Fredo was responsible for the botched hit attempted on Michael.
