How do you get discovered for a movie???

Well, you could try to become popular on "you tube" Type in their search box "happy slip." She puts on skits, often playing every part herself. She also sets up her cameras, does everything. I guess that probably would require some classes or some help from people who are already good at that stuff. I think watching her might give you some ideas on some things to do on camera. You Tube give viewers a chance to subscribe free to your skits etc. Happy Slip is adorable but I don't think she has been paid for anything yet. Luck, I guess is a really big factor. There are drama and comedy clubs around the country that do some hiring.
When a movie is being made, they will often hire many local people for little or nothing to people the scenes. Peter Jackson often puts his self and members of his families in these bit roles. So be on the lookout for a movie being made in your area. You might have a skill that will put you in the movies. In Lord of the Rings, they needed more men who could ride horses than they could find, so they hired women and disguised them with beards and masks. In Gone With the Wind, they had to find adults who knew how to do the Virgina Reel. It is a matter of being in the right place with what is needed.
